Close readings of ancient Greek epic, including, but not necessarily limited to, Homer, Hesiod, the Homeric Hymns, and Apollonius. Study of the generic conventions of ancient epic. Students may take this course for credit twice but may not repeat the same texts. Qualifies as a LOTE (Language Other Than English) course for Pathways College Option purposes. Prerequisites: Greek 2019 or 3012 or permission of the chairperson
