An international perspective on stories that personalize the interconnected reasons for, and consequences of, global migration and dislocation. Topics covered may include: economic collapse; environmental catastrophe; geo-politics; social injustice; war; the hardships of the journey; the challenges of arrival. Fulfills Breadth and Depth Area Studies A requirement: Race/Ethnicity or Empire/Post-colonialism; or, alternatively, Breadth and Depth Area Studies B requirement: Genre, Thematic Studies, Interdisciplinary Studies.
