Catalog description

Analysis of representative ancient Greek texts (epic, history, philosophy, tragedy, comedy) to investigate four significant social themes: the family, cultural diversity, love, and the role of women. Analysis of texts organized on the collaborative model with small working groups along with traditional lecture and classroom discussion. Prerequisites: Core Studies 1 or Core Curriculum 1110 [1.1] or Classics 1110 or permission of the chairperson. Corequisite: Education 3202 [37].
