Effects of poverty, deprivation, exclusion, and vulnerability on children and youth. Child well-being from an international perspective with detailed focus on children's well- being in the U.S. Methodologies for measuring child well-being. Public policy and the role of the state in ensuring children's welfare. (This course is not open to students who took Children’ s Studies 2200: Special Topics: Child Well-Being in a Global World: Focus on the United States, during fall 2010 or spring 2011.)
