Integrates study of the content areas, technology, and education. Concepts, practices, and perspectives guiding computing education and digital literacies, as they have been integrated into school environments. Exploration of rationales for computing education and digital literacies, including rationales that center equity, social justice, and critical perspectives. Equip teacher candidates to teach and learn about, with, through, and against technology. Become familiar with computing and digital literacies in theory and practice to both enhance teaching and learning as well as to make their own tasks as educators more efficient. Develop competencies in designing curriculum which leverage computational thinking and digital literacies across the content areas, with a focus on multilingual learners and students with disabilities, through a culturally sustaining lens. Address national and state, mathematics, science, and computer science and digital fluency learning standards.
