Such writers as Phillis Wheatley, David Walker, Frederick Douglass, Harriet Jacobs, Booker T. Washington, Paul L. Dunbar, Charles W. Chesnutt, James Weldon Johnson, W.E.B. Du Bois, Countee Cullen, Jean Toomer, Claude McKay, Sterling Brown, Zora Neale Hurston, Langston Hughes. This course is the same as English 3160.
