Analysis of Haiti’s cultural, political, and intellectual contributions to the broader Africana World. Contemporary issues facing Haitian communities locally and globally. Key themes: Revolution; Decolonization; Self- determination; Black identity; Liberation Movements; Spiritual Practices; Pan-Africanism; solidarity across African, Latin American/Caribbean, and American contexts; Diaspora and Transnationalism.
