Spanish for Global Markets II

Catalog description

This is a continuation of SPA 4501, covering second half of textbook. This course is designed to prepare students for effective oral and written communication pertinent to the global business market, focusing on commercial and technical vocabulary used in business correspondence and communication. Emphasis on practices of Spanish and Spanish-American business workplace, using major newspapers in Spanish and specialized magazines, as well as other up-to-date sources on the Web and Internet materials. Students prepare a major paper on one specific country’s finances/economy to assess their current economic situation.
