Catalog description
This course examines literature produced by Latin American women writers in the 20th and 21st-centuries. It focuses on poetry, novels, and essays. In conjunction with literary analysis, this course considers socio-historical contexts and issues of feminism, gender, and sexuality. Writers may include Gabriela Mistral, Rosario Castellanos, Rosario Ferré, and Cristina Peri Rossi.
