This course examines representative poetry from the late nineteenth century to the present. Attention is given to poetic language and techniques as well as to the sociopolitical context of each work. Authors may include Alfonsina Storni, Gabriela Mistral, Pablo Neruda, Cesar Vallejo, and Octavio Paz.
