Catalog description

This course studies theatrical and narrative works of Cervantes with emphasis on Don Quixote. Besides examining the main themes and literary motifs, the course investigates aspects of 17th-century culture in Spain. It also examines Cervantes’s contributions to the development of the modern novel. The class will employ computer-related materials and the Internet sources available. Not open to students who have taken CMP 3150.
