This course examines significant short stories from the nineteenth to the twentieth centuries. In addition to the study of themes and narrative techniques, it also investigates short fiction theory. Authors include Francisco Ayala, Juan Benet, Jose Jimenez Lozano, Alvaro Pombo, and Cristina Fernandez Cubas.
