Catalog description

The course is designed to develop a theoretical understanding of the phenomenon of deviance, involving a systematic and critical review of various theories of deviance, rates, and etiology of various forms of deviance, and the definition and measurement of deviant behavior. It will also explore the development of deviant subcultures and of changing definitions of deviance.
