Psychological Processes in Organizations

Catalog description

Presentation of the concepts, major theories, and research in the behavioral sciences that is relevant to understanding people's behavior at work. The course focuses on human behavior in business and other organizational settings at the individual, group, and systems levels. The course aims to enhance organizational effectiveness by providing knowledge of such psychological processes as motivation, learning, decision making, and stress in the workplace. Procedures will be used to develop critical thinking skills, understanding of diversity, and the psychological aspects of dealing with ethical issues. In addition to examining psychological research, the course uses experiential learning, group projects, and case studies.
