Catalog description
This course focuses on the theory and practice of project management in organizations. Students will learn project portfolio selection and initiation, project planning, project scheduling, optimizing time and cost tradeoffs, managing risk and uncertainty, assessing progress, managing resources, managing project teams, and managing decentralized global projects. Operational and financial measures of performance, scheduling methodologies including CPM, PERT, and Agile, and the Project Management Institute Body of Knowledge (PMBOK) are emphasized.
