Encounters in Global Ancient Empires

This course provides students with an understanding of the particularcharacter of the archaeological, architectural, documentary, and visualevidence for ancient empires. Students will chose their own empire uponwhich to focus. In so doing, students will learn to interrogate the theoreticaland methodological means through which scholars have studied andcompared ancient empires.
