Catalog description
This course will survey the economic history of the United States from the pre-colonial period to the present. It will examine the evolving relationship between the state and the economy and consider how changes in economic thought have been reflected in economic practice. It will examine how capitalism became rooted in the United States, and how workers, investors, and policymakers shaped the nation's history.
