Catalog description

This course explores the development and evolution of American cities and suburbs during the twentieth-century. In addition to focusing on topics such as residential segregation, sprawl, and urban and suburban politics and policy, the class also examines the ways gender; sexuality, immigration, and religion have both shaped cities and suburbs and reflected their influence.
