Catalog description

Earth’s climate and ecosystems are shaped by connections between the land, oceans, atmosphere and living things (“Earth systems”). In this course, we will explore how these connections make our planet habitable, and the effects of natural and human-induced changes to these systems. In the laboratory component, students will use computational tools to visualize and model the effects of human activity on natural systems. Students will receive credit for ENV 3060 or PHY 3060, not both. These courses may substitute for each other in the F-replacement option.
