Entrepreneurship and Innovation in the Wild

Catalog description

This capstone course is designed to leverage the knowledge students have gained in previous entrepreneurship and innovation courses in order to enable them to test the business case for an early-stage venture. This course takes a highly experiential approach to entrepreneurship and innovation by challenging students to practice entrepreneurship and innovation outside the classroom (i.e., “in the wild”). Students will begin by identifying a testable problem-solution space that will be approved by the instructor. Next, students will iteratively move their innovative ideas forward by validating the assumptions underlying them with stakeholders. Finally, students will test their innovative solutions in the marketplace.
