Catalog description

In this design-focused course, students design feasible solutions to real world problems. This course will expose students to a variety of prototyping technologies emphasizing human centric design practices. Adopting a “maker mindset,” students will explore the feasibility of their idea by creating, testing, refining, and presenting a physical prototype that has value to their target audience. The course utilizes an “active learning,” interdisciplinary approach in which students will engage in a combination of instructor led and self-guided work both inside and outside of the classroom. No prior technical knowledge is required.
