Methods of Teaching Natural Sciences in the Elementary and Early Childhood Settings

This course is one of the required courses for the students who have not chosen the natural sciences as an area of concentration. It is a response to the belief that prospective teachers should have a strong knowledge base in the liberal arts and sciences and that knowledge in the natural sciences is achieved. The focus of this course is the integration of the scientific process and fact and then transfer of this knowledge to young children.
