Position Paper Defense

Catalog description

DPS students will build on the work they completed in the prior course DBA 90120 or DCT 90120 to further develop and refine their dissertation proposal. If they and their dissertation advisor agree, they may modify the focus and direction of the dissertation research. The proposal should include well-developed hypotheses, a thorough review of all relevant literature, a detailed plan for empirical data collection and analysis, and a discussion of expected results. If any pilot study and data analysis have been done, a discussion of that should be included. Students will complete a written paper including these items and will present their research orally to faculty and DPS program students. This presentation will count as the program’s Qualifying Examination 2.
