This course examines issues related to the globalization of communication,culture, and media. Beginning with a historiography of these terms, the coursewill examine multiple theoretical perspectives and case studies of culturalmeeting, clash, and coalescence. Positive and negative aspects of globalizationswill be explored through historic readings and contemporary case studies.
