Catalog description

This is the first course of a one-year intensive intermediate sequence that aims to build students' proficiency in the four language skills (reading, writing, listening, and speaking) and to broaden their knowledge of the Chinese-speaking world. The course emphasizes the active use of the language through collaborative and presentational activities, and discussions of readings and current issues.
