Elementary Chinese II

Catalog description

This is the second course of a one-year introductory sequence that aims to give students a command of basic written and spoken language and grammar in Mandarin Chinese. Emphasis is on communication skills and the cultures of Chinese-speaking peoples. Self-expression is developed through the use of collaborative, situational, and presentational activities. This course is not open to students with two or more years of high school Chinese, to students with prior knowledge of the language, and to students with the NCHI student group.
