This course introduces students to the field of immunology, covering topics that include cellular, innate, and adaptive immunity. Key concepts will be introduced within the context of ecological and evolutionary relationships between pathogens and hosts. The course will also examine disruptions and diseases in the immune system. A major focus will be on studying emerging immune-based strategies to fight diseases such as cancer.
