Catalog description

TSC 145 Introduces areas of study and application that help in envisioning equity and justice in healthcare and lived experiences of health and illness. Students will use models of humanistic inquiry associated with health humanities throughout the course. Content areas include career discernment, systems thinking, intersectionality, explanatory models of illness, culture of healthcare, mental and behavioral health, and disability. Students will practice skills including reflection through writing and small group conversations, informational interviewing, and crafting personal statements.
