Students will explore how alcohol and drugs impact the body, mind, and society. Students will learn about drug types, pharmacology, and processes of dependence, addiction, and withdrawal. Using a systems perspective and exploring behavior patterns, students will gain a clear understanding of how substances impact individuals and communities.
