Catalog description

This course explores the last three decades of 19th Century in Spain where the novel becomes a new approach to observe social domains. It will be concentrated on the work of five major authors: Juan Valera, Benito Perez Leopold Alas (Clarin), Emilia Pardo Bazan and Vicente Blasco Ibanez. P: Six credits at the SPN 401 -425 level.
