Catalog description

This course will be a close reading of Cervantes' masterpiece Don Quixote, often referred to as the first modern novel, and second most published and read book after the Bible. Students will learn to recognize the different literary genres involved in the making of Don Quixote as well as to contextualize the work within Golden Age Spain. P: Six credits at the SPN 401 -425 level.
