Catalog description

An introductory lab course that provides a deeper inquiry into fundamental concepts in astronomy through hands-on activities. Topics covered include the nature and motions of celestial objects, fundamental physical laws, the solar system, stars, galaxies, stellar remnants, and cosmology. Satisfies Magis Core: Doing Natural Science and Designated Statistical Reasoning. P: Magis Core Mathematical Reasoning, Magis Core Understanding Natural Science, or IC. CO: PHY 109 .
