Certificate Practicum: Neonatal Nurse Practitioner

Catalog description

NUR 753 is the final preceptor-supervised practicum course for neonatal practitioner (NNP) students in the post-graduate certificate program in which students are immersed in their advanced practice nursing role. The course allows students to complete the trajectory from novice to competent advanced practice nurse by providing care to a group of critically-ill infants in the Level III or Level IV NICU. The emphasis of the course is on developing competence in diagnosing and treating a full range of common and complex disorders seen in the neonatal population.
