Practicum II:Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner

Catalog description

NUR 749 is designed to allow students to continue the development of the adult-gerontology acute care nurse practitioner role by providing health care services to adolescents through older adults in acute care settings. The course emphasizes further development of clinical assessment and diagnostic reasoning skills to design, implement, and evaluate evidence-based treatment plans for common and more complicated acute, episodic, and chronic health problems of adolescents, adults, and older adults in the acute care setting. Students will have opportunities to further advance knowledge and clinical skill in performing diagnostic and therapeutic procedures related to the role of the nurse practitioner.
