Catalog description

NUR 747 provides a theoretical and practical base for Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner students to diagnose and manage health problems of adults and older adults in a variety of settings including primary, acute, and critical care. Content includes management strategies from the domains of nursing, medicine, and pharmacology, and emphasizes direct care to patients with health problems in selected organ systems. Building on prior knowledge, skills, and attitudes, students are expected to apply the concepts and theories discussed in class to the care of adults and older adults.
