NUR 720 is designed to provide a theoretical and practical base for students to diagnose and manage more complicated acute episodic and chronic health problems of adults across the lifespan that present predominantly in primary care settings. Content includes management strategies from the domains of nursing, medical, and pharmacological therapeutics, and emphasizes direct care to patients with health problems in selected body systems. The student is expected to apply the concepts and theories discussed in class to the care of adult patients across the lifespan in concurrent and subsequent clinical practicum courses.
