Catalog description

NUR 338 Population-Based Health builds upon concepts from NUR 258 to integrate theory, knowledge, and skills from nursing, social sciences, and public health in meeting the health needs of individuals and families. Assessment skills are broadened to include families and communities using population-based, prevention-focused approaches. Emphasis is placed on understanding determinants of health, communicable disease and evidence-based practice from a population perspective.
