Leadership Skills

Catalog description

Leadership Skills provides students with the opportunity to learn and develop the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to manage effectively in dynamic workplaces. The course is designed so that students are able to actively engage in the development of their own personal skills and apply those skills to situations that may arise while managing others. Specific topics may include the challenges of management as it pertains to the following: groups and teams, conflict resolution, organizational change, diversity and inclusion, and cross cultural management. An emphasis will be placed on experiential learning and developing specific skills such as communicating effectively, providing and receiving feedback to and from others, and coaching/mentoring.
