This course explores complex ethical and legal challenges in healthcare by examining key legal standards, ethical decision-making in resource-limited settings, discharge planning, and end-of-life considerations. Topics include advanced directives, resource rationing, EMTALA compliance, and the ethics of life-sustaining treatments.
