This course will cover the fundamental aspects of ethics in healthcare, emphasizing ethical decision-making and the application of ethical principles. The course also provides an overview of professional codes of ethics across various healthcare disciplines, with a focus on protecting patient autonomy through regulations like HIPAA and the complexities of obtaining informed consent.
