Catalog description

This Sources and Methods course is an introduction to a crucial genre in Western literature. Students will: read the majority of extant Greek tragedies; understand the historical and material circumstances under which the plays were created and performed; and tackle the "macro" interpretive questions to which they give rise. CR: Only open to students in the Honors Program.
