Global Perspectives in History: The World at the Top of the World - The Circumpolar Artic
Creighton University · UGRD · Fall 2026
1 section
Catalog description
The Artic is simultaneously: a known quantity, a mystery; a developed, undeveloped, and underdeveloped region; a region in transition but also steeped in people, flora, and fauna that have existed there for millennia. It can be a mysterious region, but it is - and always has been - a changing one. This study will cross political and state lines and instead focus on the people of the circumpolar Artic and the unique issues that confront them historically and in this era of rapid climate change. Satisfies Magis Core: Global Perspectives in History. P: Critical Issues in Human Inquiry.
