Catalog description
This advanced language course offers a survey of German literature and civilization from Wilhelmine Germany to the present through discussion of literary and non-literary texts, film, music, art and architecture. Students should gain awareness and understanding of the major personalities, events, ideas and institutions that have shaped German literature and culture. Refinement and expansion of advanced language skills: speaking, writing, reading and listening. The course will be conducted in German. P: GER 225 , or IC.
