Catalog description

This course explores communication about food and sustainability, focusing on subtopics such as food justice, agriculture, food waste, media representations, cultural identity, and eating meat. As is appropriate for understanding contemporary food systems and practices, the course takes an international approach, examining foodways from around the world. Additionally, the course draws from a variety of disciplines including communication studies, business and marketing, psychology, sociolinguistics, and sustainability studies.
