Catalog description

This course will provide students with a comprehensive understanding of the ethical challenges confronting businesses in today’s world. It will cover a wide range of contemporary issues, including the impact of Artificial Intelligence and Social Media on humans, business, and society; truth-telling and whistleblowing; intellectual property and technology; corporate culture, corporate management and responsibility; employee issues such as discrimination and worker rights and customer concerns like privacy and confidentiality. The course will adopt a philosophical approach to business ethics while also drawing on insights from various disciplines. Students will learn about ethical theories and decision-making frameworks, applying these concepts to real-world case studies. P: DC.
