Catalog description

The chromosome is the physical basis of genetics in Eukaryotes, and controls major aspects of gene regulation. In this course, we will exam the structure, function and behavior of eukaryotic chromosomes. The accompanying laboratory will emphasize modern genome-wide approach, including student participation in a genome project focusing on disease transmitting flies. 3R, 3L. P: BIO 317 ; CR: Sr. stdg., or IC.
