Catalog description

Informed by Ignatian ideals, a global perspective and knowledge of social justice, this course challenges the understanding and application of what it means to be empowered. By fostering students' abilities to apply the study and application of the visual arts as a catalyst for change students will develop the capacity to engage with their community. This course offers students a collaborative learning experience with faculty, community artists and local agencies. Students will explore how the intersection of art and activism affects personal, community, and societal transformation through self-reflection and a creative call to action.
