Catalog description

This course examines the role of the Arts in social transformation through student involvement in the nationwide initiative, Empty Bowls. Students will study, in theory and reality, how different communities work together to improve local and global conditions. Students will combine studio art practices with reflection and volunteerism by working in a communal environment, inside and outside the classroom. Satisfies Magis Core: Intersections and Designated Ethics. Studio Arts materials fee is charged. P: ART 211 , Critical Issues in Human Inquiry course, Ethics course; CR: Sr. stdg.
