Catalog description

This course is designed to provide students with an understanding of how retailers are enhancing their strategies to include innovative, and new-age technology (i.e. AR/VR, mobile, personalization, AI, etc.) to improve their branding and customer experience. The retail industry is increasingly competitive and rapidly evolving, and this course will explore the technical developments that are transforming the marketplace across multiple retail domains (i.e. CPG, grocery/superstores, fashion brands, department stores, technology retail businesses etc.). We will examine how the industry got to its current point, evaluate examples of newer technologies in practice (including their benefits and downfalls), and finally, explore the possible industry technological innovations for 2026.
