Catalog description

This topics course examines the processes that gave rise to various radical political movements in parts of Latin America in the 19th and 20th centuries. Readings and discussion around particular historical case studies combined with theoretical questions related to resistance, defiance, rebellion and revolution. Some prior knowledge of Latin American history is recommended but not required. Spanish helpful but not required. (HIST-HNA)
